The Inpatient Rehabilitation Center provides intensive rehabilitation to patients who have experienced a serious illness, trauma, or major surgery. Rehabilitation professionals work with patients on how to live with an injury or illness by teaching them new ways of caring for themselves and assisting them with improving their abilities.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation program serves patients with a variety of medical, physical, and functional needs including patients who have had a stroke, brain or spinal cord injury, multiple trauma, fracture of the hip or femur, amputation, or have a degenerative and progressive neurological disorder such as Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis.

All nurses of Memorial's Inpatient Rehabilitation Center are NIH Stroke Scale certified. Additionally, certified rehab and certified wound nurses provide additional support to patients.

Our Rehabilitation Medical Director will make the decision whether the patient meets the criteria, however, the decision is subject to review by Medicare.
