Choosing to smoke or not is a decision that everyone is entitled to make. It’s no secret that smoking has devastating effects on your health, but people still find reasons to start. Unfortunately, as easy as it is to start smoking, quitting is another matter entirely. Cigarettes are addictive, and the comforting sensation of smoking can make it difficult to resist the cravings. That said, countless people have managed to quit smoking for good and you can too. Sometimes, all it takes is getting the right help from the right people.
The Memorial Hospital and health Care Center Tobacco Cessation program is a comprehensive course that connects participants with the resources and support they need to quit smoking once and for all. This course includes educational materials, discussion, goal setting, and information about the free Indiana Tobacco Quit Line coaching service. All of our educational materials are provided by the Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Council and the American Cancer Society.
Every participant works with our team to create a personalized program that addresses their specific triggers for cigarette cravings. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been smoking or what your current medical condition is – it’s never too late to benefit from tobacco cessation.
