MHHCC announces name change to Deaconess Memorial Medical Center

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is proud to announce an exciting milestone in its ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, Catholic-based health care to the community. After gathering feedback from over 800 community members and hospital employees, we are thrilled to reveal that Memorial will soon be known as Deaconess Memorial Medical Center.

The name change reflects our proud history while also paving the way for a future filled with greater opportunities to enhance the care we provide to our community."

This new name reflects Memorial’s continued dedication to the community, Catholic identity and mission of delivering compassionate care close to home. While the name is changing, the heart of Memorial—its Catholic foundation, unwavering commitment to healing and identity as a trusted, compassionate provider—remains steadfast.

The term "Medical Center" represents our forward-looking vision: to evolve into a regional hub for advanced care, serving a wider geographic area and offering expanded services and resources to address the growing needs of our community.

The transition to Deaconess Memorial Medical Center is grounded in the feedback from the community that Memorial continues to hold deep significance. The new name honors the rich legacy of Memorial Hospital while signaling the future benefits of being fully aligned with Deaconess.
