2023 LCM Volunteer of the Year

Larry Rasche has been named the 2023 Little Company of Mary (LCM) Volunteer of the Year Award recipient at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. This award is named in honor of the Little Company of Mary Sisters - USA, the sponsors of Memorial Hospital. Larry is the sixth recipient for this annual award that is based on outstanding volunteer service and dedication reflecting Memorial Hospital’s mission statement and the core values of Respect for Human Dignity, Compassionate Caring, Stewardship, Quality and Justice. Other nominees for the 2023 award included Tammie Bohnert, Gene Colvin, Donna Dickman, Rose Ann Glendening, Flo Martin, Adam Schwartz, and Larry Wheatley.

Sister Renee Cunningham, LCM, Memorial Hospital Mission Committee Member, stated, “Larry is an excellent choice for this award. I couldn’t think of a better, more deserving person.”

Larry lives in Jasper with his wife, Ann. They have three sons: Ben (Suzanne) Rasche of Portland, Oregon; Matthew (Erin) Rasche of Bloomington, Indiana; and Michael (Kate) Rasche of Asheville, North Carolina. They have one daughter, Maria (Eric) Wilson of Oak Park, Illinois, and eight grandchildren.
