Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is pleased to announce that most of its clinics now offer telemedicine services. Telemedicine is a video visit with health care providers. This option allows patients to access their providers remotely while staying in the comfort of their home or provides more flexibility when at work to reduce time away. Telemedicine visits only require the use of a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer with Internet access, a camera, and microphone. These consultations are private and secure.
“Utilizing telemedicine services is a great alternative for those who are unable or uncomfortable with coming in for an office visit,” Dr. Adam Dawkins, cardiologist at Memorial Hospital’s Heartland Cardiology, explained. “It is important for individuals to continue seeking health care services during this pandemic. We don’t want small issues to turn into bigger issues down the road.”
To find out if your provider offers telemedicine services, please contact the provider’s office. More information on telemedicine services is also available on Memorial Hospital’s website at www.mhhcc.org/our-services/telemedicine/
